A New York City native, Kim grew up just two blocks from her grandparents, and family has always been a focal point in her life. Kim’s love for Broadway, fashion, and culture has also continued to flourish since growing up in the city, and are pastimes she enjoys with her family. A graduate of Cornell University with a BA in English and a double major in Performing and Media Arts, Kim’s interest in media began early on, even writing her college thesis on Reality TV and the fandom around spinoffs. 

Kim’s career began in broadcast journalism, where she worked at Cheddar as a producer and on-air entertainment reporter, covering trending topics in pop culture, media, and lifestyle. Her passion for storytelling and audience engagement led her to launch Excuse My Grandma in 2021, alongside her grandmother, Gail Rudnick, turning their personal conversations about dating and generational differences into a viral sensation.

Since its inception, Excuse My Grandma has amassed millions of views, garnered national media attention, and attracted partnerships with leading brands including Amazon, McDonald’s, L’Oreal, CeraVe, Garnier, Estée Lauder, Old Navy, Microsoft, and QVC. The brand has been featured in The New York Times, TODAY, Fox News, The Atlantic, The Rachael Ray Show, Tamron Hall, and more, solidifying its place as a cultural touchstone for cross-generational conversations about love and life.
